Foil As Embellishment means foil stamping select graphic or typography elements that are available from our library. The border pattern seen here in our Brocade Border wedding invitation is an example and is printed with Foil As Embellishment:

See how different the choices in paper and foil look on the same same design shown above? Paper color and foil color create distinctive looks. The invitation in front is Pearl foil on single-ply ecru cotton paper. The other invitation is Matte Gold foil on double-ply pearl white cotton paper.

Cohen Printing Paper has an extensive selection of motifs, frames, and other typographic design elements in our library that can be printed in foil as embellishment. (Monograms are considered personalized and therefore are not included.) The cost and turn-around time are much less than for personalized foil because no additional cost or time is required to create original, custom-made plates for variable elements like names and dates.

Of course the allure of foil stamping has many couples opting to spend more for personalized foil. And, when repeated on multiple stationery items, the same ‘personalized foil’ plate can be used over again. This  means that only the item with the largest print run will be charged the premium personalized foil price. All additional print runs using the same foil plate will be charged at the lower ‘foil as embellishment’ price. Not a bad investment if it’s what you want!
